Cyberabad Cybercrime Police in India successfully retrieved $3,074.14 for a Hyderabad-based investor who fell victim to a cryptocurrency scam. The case highlights growing risks in digital asset trading and law enforcement’s efforts to combat cybercrime.

The investor was lured into a fraudulent WhatsApp group promising unrealistic crypto trading profits. Scammers convinced him to install third-party software before siphoning funds meant for purported trading agreements. Authorities traced the stolen cryptocurrency after the victim filed a formal complaint.
